Mental Health Word of the Week: Boundaries - Sheena Wright, LAPC
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re highlighting a powerful word each week that shapes how we think about wellness. This week’s word is boundaries-the limits that we set that help us define who we are and what we need. Healthy boundaries can help protect us physically, mentally and emotionally.
Sheena-one of our dynamic mental health therapists at BTG Counseling and Educational services is sharing two perspectives on how to implement boundaries. She encourages us to not let fear or worry get in the way of having new experiences. Sheena also shares with us the power of saying no. Saying “no”to a person or experience is ok and is a way we practice self-care.
Don’t forget, words have power!
